DUCAH Research & Knowledge Transfer
DUCAH’s scientific network – well-founded, experienced, and activating – forms the basis of our research activities.
In addition to our formats and consulting services, DUCAH is, above all, a human-centered research center—operating close to real-world practice and supported by an extensive scientific network. We collaborate closely with national and international universities, institutes, and research organizations to pursue a shared goal: advancing research in healthcare, care, and social services, generating evidence of effectiveness, and developing as well as implementing future-oriented solutions.

At the same time, we see it as our responsibility not only to support research itself but also to make scientific insights more accessible and practical for our partners and clients. In doing so, we enable effective knowledge transfer into the social sector.

Our experience includes, for example, research and delegation projects supported by the Senate Administration and the German Federal Government, the development of white papers (e.g., the Blütenviertel White Paper) and concept papers, as well as supporting partner organizations in their own research initiatives.
Our promise
To connect the healthcare, care, and social sectors with research—and make them future-ready.
  • International exchange
Thanks to public funding and initiatives such as GETA International, DUCAH—together with the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs—enables delegation trips to California and, in June 2026, to Singapore. Read more...
  • Support for research papers
DUCAH supports its institutional partners in their research projects and publications. This includes assistance with project management, the preparation and execution of field studies, handling logistical tasks, and supporting the writing process.
  • Scientific network
Beyond our service portfolio, DUCAH stands out through its extensive economic and scientific network. This includes renowned universities, colleges, and research institutes in Germany and internationally. One example is the CITRIS Institute at the University of California, Berkeley in the USA. • Own research and white papers
We not only support our partners but also conduct our own research projects. We leverage the strong expertise of our scientific board member, Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Schildhauer (LinkedIn), and our broader scientific network to create value for our members and clients—for example, through the development and publication of white papers on relevant topics or the ethical evaluation of digital tools.
